Church Health Process

Overview

Becoming healthier as a church is not rocket science; it is simply about bringing experience, capacity, leadership and a tangible plan to the table.

One of the biggest fears for a leadership team is that this process can turn negative and actually result in dis-health. That is where we come in. Like a personal trainer at the gym, this is about assessing where you are and what next steps can be taken to simply and holistically improve your health.

It’s about being positive, looking for the gifts the Holy Spirit has blessed your local congregation with, and intentionally discpling fellow believers into greater obedience and service to the Kingdom of God.

Assessment Season

Our offering is simple. We walk with your church leadership for about a year. We do an initial assessment, which is all about seeing the strengths and weaknesses of the church in alignment with a biblical vision of church – a healthy ecclesiology.

Discernment Season

We use this information to inform prayer-filled discernment of how to grow in alignment to this biblical vision and create a one-year strategic and tactical plan.

Implementation Season

We then create, and walk together through three coaching calls monthly for a year. Over the years, what we have seen is that the coaching brings both capacity and, when needed, the knowledge to help the church actually gain traction. This is the biggest challenge for most churches. Leaders often have good ideas about what needs addressing, but they don’t have the capacity to implement and move things forward. It is an inspiring process. Hard work, but encouraging!

Review and Re-Engage

The ideal is that this would become part of the church’s annual gait, reviewing what God has done the year before and looking to God to discern what he is calling the church to in the coming year.

“The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult; and left untried.”

― G.K. Chesterton, What’s Wrong with the World

God’s ways work! At the end of the day, growing church health involves the intentional pursuit as leaders to build in a regular assessment and discernment gait to measure our obedience and alignment to the whole counsel of the Word of God.

Charity and Not-for-Profit Process

The most common pain point for charities is revenue generation, and this is one of the areas we specialize in.

In fact, the two areas of deep experience that we bring are in the areas of strategic leadership and revenue generation. We have developed this multidisciplinary skillset through progressive leadership roles in the finance, church, and charitable areas over the last 25 years.

We typically work with our clients to fill gaps through either fractional engagements or project work.

Small Business Consulting

For us, health is achieved through creating a sustainable alignment in an organization’s strategy, people culture, tactics, and financials.

Two of the fundamental ways we add value are in the areas of strategic leadership and capacity building, developed over 25+ years through progressive leadership roles in the finance, church, and charitable areas.

We believe that every leader is unique, and every organization is distinct, so there is no one size fits all approach to growth and progress.

We are passionate about listening to your story and helping you create pathways around, over or through the challenges that are in front of you. Whether it be the need for operational efficiencies, revenue generation, leadership development, or cultural transformation, we will work with you to determine a plan to strategically move forward.
