As a turn around artist of sorts, I actually find that skills in change management and reconciliation are of utmost importance to my company. Unfortunately, there are times when you hope for people. You counsel and wish for growth, for change, for hope, for a better way.

Sometimes, though, people seem to actually crave pain and sickness. It is what they know, and to believe for better seems beyond them. This is the terrible bad. It is terrible bad, because the only solution is separation, removal.

Sometimes health is restored when the tumour is removed, but let’s be honest, that kind of surgery sucks.

Last time I checked though, every time I gutted out and led change that removed dis-health, the organization is healthier long-term for it.

Leaders lead, but there is always a cost.
