Order From Chaos

One of the things that good leaders do is create order from chaos. Not mind numbing bureaucracy, but clarity of purpose, process and path. As with most skills that qualify one for the “glamorous” world of leadership, the process of delivering on bringing clarity and order is the equivalent of digging ditches intellectually. It is hard work. It does take some intellectual prowess, but ultimately it is about buckling down and doing it. Bringing order and clarity into chaos is rewarding and beneficial and will benefit an organization greatly.

The great leader, however, doesn’t just do it once; they expend energy every day keeping the balance of creativity, entrepreneurialism, and clarity so growth and vitality can continue to be part of the culture.
